*NEW* Zowie AM Mouse - Page 4

I'm kind of confident that Zowies custom lens solution will work pretty well allthough the 450 CPI step will include quite some work from the MCU.

Compared to the Xai the size is a bit odd.
It's allmost exactly as long and high but not far from one cm less wide.

125,5 x 68,3 x 38,7 vs. 125 x 60 x 39 mm

That's even 4 mm less wide than a Kinzu.

Most games don't know Mouse 6/7 anyway.

Would this mouse work well on Soft mouse pads? I knew the xai worked better on the hard pads.

It's not smaller, it has the same height and length as Xai. PERFECT.

(on 500hz it reduce greatly, but if you will check in the mspaint you wil still notice that its exist, but it wont effect your gameplay).
on 500DPI, the 2-stages LoD bug is GONE, on 1000/2000DPI it exist and very noticeable.
Anyway, if these bugs will be exist on the Zowie AM mouse? we will need to wait and see.
I used an EC2 for several months @500 DPI 500 Hz. Tested in paint and found no jitter. I prefer ambidextrous mice so i stopped using it, but i still think it's one of the best ergonomic mice out there. The cord is perfect, the sensor is perfect (if you don't care about prediction) and i just love the smooth glide of those BIG skates.

The Xai has a BIG ass. That's where the width is coming from. Very confusing stuff.

This is optical. It loves soft pads.

It's so nice to see a company being aware of the important issues when building a mouse and trying to fix them. I guess that's the advantage of ACTUALLY WORKING with pro gamers. I see a lot of companies using the "designed by gamers" slogan and the end result is disappointing. Steelseries better hurry with their mouse or it's lights out for Kana.

Two diffrents sensors which works diffrent and perform diffrents.

Optical works great on all surfaces but gloss.

Update : thier cheif marketing Danny has been said on facebook that the Price is 59,90 EUR/USD.

Oh, look. Another mouse I'll play with for 10 mins and then go back to my WMO.

Judging from the pics the AM Mouse has a similar fat ass.

Someone with some Photoshop skills should put one on top of the other.

So that'll be £59.90 in the UK, ouch.

With the 3090 only offering 1800 and 3500 dpi via register settings the 450 dpi setting should be easy for the mcu (bit shift). Thats probably also the reason why you see it a lot in mice with 3090.

What i am more worried about are the 1150 and 2300 dpi steps.

That kind of sounds like simply slap another lens to reduce lod and reduce the 1800 and 3500 dpi values due to degrading performance...(thats also likely as i have difficulties to believe that avago offers any kind of custom srom code to zowie).

Yes but Zowie uses a different lens.

That doesn't worry me those 2 fit together with a different lens (1800:3500 and 1150:2300 is pretty much the same ratio) but 450 CPI is something totally different.

Normally you don't get support from Avago with a 3rd party lens.

PS: That lens could probably also have a negative effect on precision.
