This game looks good even on LOW.. spending thousands of dollars for "Ultra" is just sad
Says the hypocrite with a 2x 580 SLI

if all you need is 40fps a 3gb 580 would probably do the job nicely. I wouldn't say wanting 60+fps makes you an "fps freak" lol. I want enough power so when the FPS dips it's still at 60 or above, when I've played below 60 fps it's not buttery smooth. I'll never go back.

To his point, I didn't notice it when I was on High settings by accident lol. To a trained eye it's probably much more significant. I know I had to turn down to 2xAA and it looked to same to me, maybe if I had a side by side comparison I'd notice more.

BF3 runs fine for me with everything on High and a nice injection of AA and HBOA. I tested Ultra settings , but just don't notice any major difference for the FPS drop.

Well you are more likely better off getting a GTX 570 then buy another one on xmas for SLi. Seriously more bang for your buck because we all know two gtx 570s can outperform in SLi than a single GTX 580 if i am correct.

Two 570's destroy a single 580.
