The mods make me spend at least double the time I would have spent on the game alone.

While everything else that PC is known for with the elder scrolls is put aside the bug patches are also a selling point for me because you are not waiting a million years for the bug fix patches like you would on Xbox or PS3. Whether they are official or not. You can count on a patch for game breaking bugs to be fixed on PC.
Possibly, however since the game is tailored for consoles most of the bugs will be gone. PC will eventually get fixed but usually takes some time. Still getting on the PC though.

Actually google something called "unofficial oblivion patch" for me. You'll find there a testament of not only the perfect reason to get elderscrolls on pc but also a great example of the mod community. Fixes that bethesda would have never put in place, script errors, 100's of fixes. Fixes that you'll also never see on console because the community cares more the the developers do.

I say Xbox 360 because it's designed with the Xbox 360 as the leading development platform and will no doubt be optimised better for it. You also can't trade/return/rent the PC version as it requires Steam to play.

My advice? Buy/rent for Xbox 360, play it, trade/return it and buy the PC version once it has been patched up and has good worthwhile mods for it.
Yes us simple minded morons have all built our PC's not for enhanced gaming, but to pick up chicks and build self esteem, lol. Cmon now, have some respect you clown

As for being better optimized, intially yes there will be fewrr bugs. Over a small amount of time, those bugs will be ironed out, we'll have tons of enhancing mods making even greater, and you will be left with the $0.75 worth of graphics your 360 has. And we will all playing maxed out at 1080p+ looking down on console users who run their mouths like you becauase your game looks like a n64 game compared to ours.

PS. Tupac is still alive, gotta believe! haha

Mods all the way, PC reigns supreme on almost every game because of mods. Console is WYSIWYG.

Definitely getting the PC version since I got a high end machine, I'll be able to max it out no problem.

As far as bugs go, if Bethesda pisses around too long on bug fixes, the modders might even beat them to it. Considering what the modding community did for both Morrowind and Oblivion, I got high hopes for Skyrim.

I bought the retail version (EU) and got the printed map as well, so I think you'll get it either way.
