Wondering,

Would the Cisco ws-C3550-48-smi be a good one?
i saw it 2nd hand for 120 euros, which is in my budget.

Will that be a good one or will it only give trouble?

3550 is not gigabit.

Those only support up to 100mbits (Fast Ethernet) not Gigabit speeds. You'd be better off finding a cheap Unmanaged gigabit switch, like the others have been showing you.

Also just a note on SFP. From what I gather this is essentially a fibreoptical ethernet channel that is used by some routers, instead of using conventional CAT cable.
