Hmm I was thinking this would be great for solar panels...more light would actually be absorbed rather than reflected.

Sweet! As an avid aquarium keeper I find this very interesting. Unfortunately, it will be very expensive. Kind of like Starphire, that stuff is ridiculously priced.

OMG, THIS THIS THIS!!!

I absolutely HATE glossy screens (on notebooks, TV's)!!!

Why in the world did ANYONE think that putting a highly-reflective screen on a device you use in a variety of environments could possibly be a good thing?!

I'm 100% happy to sacrifice a bit of colors, contrast/brightness if it means I don't need to see every reflection in my screen (which brings up a good point--seems like the only purpose of the enhanced contrast/brightness that comes with glossy's in comparison to matte's is only to overcome the glare and reflections...).

Well, hopefully now we can have the best of both worlds!!

Solar panels already use anti-reflective coatings on whatever substrate the photo-active plates are in/on. I actually wonder if the AR tech in this article was inspired from projects to optimize solar efficiency?

How much light can pass through current anti-reflective coatings?

I made some invisible glass years ago, but couldn't find it after I made it.
