Thread Starter
Hello OCN I Need Help I Recently Changed my VGA cooler and I'm Wondering... Can I Mod The 4-pin Vga Fan Connector so that the 4 pin becomes a 2 pin. Is This Possible? I have 2 80mm Fans it has a 4 pin connector can i mod it like cut the wires then put the + and - ends into 1 wire, ok so to make ur lives easier a pic:

so i'll remove the insulation of the wire the test it to make a single wire.

sorry for my bad english

Sure, all you need to power a fan are two pins, the other two are meant for speed control and measurement. As such all you have to do is to identify which two wires among the 4 are the power and ground ( + & -) and connect them to a 2pin header.
