Agreed, mainly because you can shoot on your own.

Not a big deal this video, pretty much a storytaking cutscene that came up worse in other games times before. Whatever, I feel many here are way too sensitive with this. Quit playing FPS.

The whole movie/book argument is null in this case. Movie trailers and book jackets always refer to plots and give back story to the events. What was released today had absolutely none of that. It was showcasing a girl being brutally murdered in public. Activision/Sledgehammer could have easily inserted a quick cutscene before/after the explosion explaining the murder. Instead, they chose to build shock value in the most abhorrent way possible.

This is blatant emotional manipulation of real life tragedies in order to build profit. That's it. Had there been some semblance to a plot or even a reason for the event, then I'd see no issue with it. They aren't making some sort of benevolent statement as to how real war is, COD isn't that sort of game anymore. Perhaps back in the early 2000's, sure. But not the blockbuster movie style plots they've adapted today.

So wrong in many ways... this discussion gets out of hand.

You're missing the point that this is LEAKED...

To all the idiots saying it happens in the real world. OK. This is a video game! Or do you guys not know the difference. Not everything in the real world needs to happen on games.

Or do you think it makes you cool and more informed than everyone else that you know that? News flash, it doesn't, and you probably aren't.

Few things are truly leaked anymore. I used to work in gaming journalism and I'd see these types of "leaked" press releases all the time. Publishers told us to label them as such to increase traffic.

This was a focused and coordinated effort to build hype.

Yep. The only reason this is getting so much attention is because a virtual (fake, non-existent, non living) child was caught in the blast. While we're at it, surely the nuke in BF3's single player campaign killed thousands of make believe kids, why aren't people up in arms about that?

So why is all the videos of this getting removed asap?

People in the US can't get mad about nuking children, we have never committed a terrorist act!

It'll increase search traffic of the video and continue to build hype. The one thing people love to see is what they've been forbidden too. 99% of the time, this is usually the case.

It's all marketing.
