I'd also opt for a Lenovo instead of an HP.

Sony Vaio is a good laptop but if it breaks repairs are very $$$

Otherwise, get an ASUS.

Lenovo is very silly with their sale pricing, it'll go up maybe $50 after the sale but it might be cheaper. It's not really a $670 discount, more like a couple hundred off MSRP.
