Help getting my Rig stable

Thread Starter
Hi guys, new to these forums, however, been keeping track on them for quite some time reading through guides and helpful posts etc. before registering myself as a member.

Anyway, just upgraded my rig from an old AMD x64 rig to a new i7 2600k and I'm having trouble getting my rig 100% stable.
I ran prime this morning, keeping my eye on it for about 45mins with no problems, and left it running all day, and just came back home to a BSOD with the 0x0000009C error code.
This is not the first time, as before, after running Prime for about 10-15 mins i BSOD'd with the same error code, and I have just kept upping the vCore, however, I am now at 1.31 vCore at 4.5GHz and I'm figuring it's more than just that.

I'm running an ASUS Sabertooth P67 mobo, witht he latest Bios (1904) with 8GB Corsair Vengence LV (1.35v) at 1600MHz and 9-9-9-24 timings.

My current settings are -

CPU Current Capability - 140%
Phase Control - Extreme
EPU Power Saving - Disabled
VRM Frequency - 350
B/CLK - 100
Turbo (By All Cores) - 45
vCore - 1.31
LLC - Ultra High
PLL Overvoltage - Disabled

Everything else is on Auto, except my memory timings (set at 9-9-9-24-1T), memory voltage (set at 1.35), and RAM speed (set at 1600mhz)

Any help on getting my rig stable for a Prime 12 hour run or helping me to achieve highet clocks would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, just on an added note, CPU Spread Spectrum is Disabled and Limit CPUID Maximum is also Disabled.

Intel Speedstep Technology is Enabled, but I cant remember if that's a default setting or not, but thought I better mention it

In my experience 0x0000009C BSOD is not CPU related.

Turn cpu current down to 130%. That's all you need for up to 5ghz like I run. What is your VCCIO set at?

EDIT: Only disable Cpu Spread Spectrum if your running more or less than 100blck. Otherwise, keep on Auto or Enabled. With 8gigs of ram you should try 1.100-1.150v on VCCIO

Ok, upped the VCCIO to 1.1 and Prime BSOD after 45mins. I then upped it again to 1.15 and it's been running for nearly an hour and I got the error "prime application has stopped working". However no BSOD or crashes. Would this just be a software glitch rather than a hardware error?

Actually, I think my rig is pretty stable now, and my problem had nothing to do with the vCore, it seemed to be more memory orientated.

I just ran 2 instances of Intel Burn Test, on Standard and Very High, and both passed without a problem.

My next task will be to try and up my CPU multiplier higher, and my vCore set to around 1.35v now I seem to have eliminated the 9c BSOD error

Thanks Hambone07si

needs moar vcore! ..you left out a few settings,though..cpu pll voltage..vccio..i'd put those @ 1.83X and 1.12-1.15 respectively..also..depending on the chip..up to 1.37v may be be needed @ 4.5ghz..typing from a machine with NetBurst Awesomeness!
