Thin, water cooled, overkill. My latest HTPC builds.

I decided to make a HTPC last spring and started by buying a pretty small case, mini itx zotac board for AM3 socket, 8gb of ram, and a small 32gb SSD. I wanted everything quiet so I put a corsair H60 liquid cooling kit on it to begin with, but I didn't like how I had to mount the radiator with the stock tubes so I changed the setup once, then decided to switch to a much smaller Cooler Master Elite 100 vesa mountable case that could fit right behind one of my flat panel TV's.

CPU: 955t BE Phenom II
RAM: 8gb Corsair XMS DDR3
SSD: Corsair Nova 32gb SSD
Mobo: Zotac 880g-ITX WiFi
Cooler: modified Corsair H60, added micro reservoir, fill port/bleeder, and custom lines along with 12mm thin Scythe fans

Here are pics of my first setup, second way I had the radiator, and finally pics of the new case I am starting to mod now!

At first I thought I couldn't fit the 120mm fan and radiator inside the case, which sucked...

Ugly fan/rad poking out!

Moved the radiator to inside, just had to delete the bluray drive - no big deal since everything is on my NAS anyway!

Outside of case before repainting.

Proof everything does fit together LOL!

Soooo then I decided to switch to an even smaller case that I could 100% hide in my living room! Ended up with this Cooler Master case...

This thing is TINY! I'm going to be running an external PSU to get everything to fit and run properly

To get my radiator to fit I had to get creative with the fans....so I grabbed these 120mm x 12mm thick scythe fans - look how thin that thing is!!!

Anyway, that's all for now - I'm going to be putting everything together very soon. Any questions, ask away, I'll try to snap current pictures as I continue the build so I have more detailed updates.

what kinda cooler master case is that? Also what type of paint and primer are you using. I'm gonna build an HTPC soon and the cases I'm looking at all have stupid logo's and stuff. Plus I just wanna mod the case (make windows and put some cool looking lights in)

NAS is on 10/100/1000 gigabit ethernet, and hooked up to my wireless N router as well - it is only wired to the workstation in the office and into the AV closet in the theater; everything else is wifi enabled downstairs and in the bedroom. LAN only access, I have 5TB on network plus another 4-6tb of space on all of our laptops and desktops (if they were all turned on at once, never happens though ). I have had a WAN FTP setup at home when I had a business line - but now I just have a 65mbit/25mbit download/upload DOCSIS3.0 residential cable line It's only the second fastest I have available, they have a 102mbit/40mbit dl/ul service now LOL... But it's a great service, but is limited to 250GB/month. Anyway, I digress

noahmateen1234: The smaller case is a Cooler Master Elite 100 Mini-ITX case.
