Core Temp 1.0 vs Asus Suite II?

Thread Starter
Which is more accurate? Right now with Core Temp 1.0 I'm getting an average idle temp of 27-29c with an H100 installed on top of my Corsair 650D as exhaust, a CoolMaster Megaflow 200 in front as intake, and a AP-15 top back as exhaust. In the Asus Suite II monitor program im staying between 17-20c on idle.

Asus Suite 2 is bad uninstall it, core temp or real temp will do the trick.

With any watercooler idle temps do not matter and only load temps.

Edit: I noticed you said you have the h100 as exhaust. Making it intake cold air will lower the temps even more.

Add a load (e.g. Prime 95 or LinX) and monitor your core temperatures using various programs (e.g. Core Temp, Real Temp, HWiNFO64). They should all be about the same.

Idle temps mean squat and should only be used as a reference, not taken literally.

Run stability tests like prime95, do a bit of gaming. Basically a bit of everything. Have you overclocked yet? I would recommend running cold air through that radiator. Have it set up as an intake to pull cold air from outside of the case in and have the rear exhaust. Instead of pulling hot air from the case out.

I have not done any gaming because unfortunately I'm still waiting on my GPU. Making it as an intake would give my case a lot of positive pressure, is that a good thing?

I would just leave it on as exhaust.
U'll get at most 1-3degrees better temp as intake but I can't even imagine the dust that will generate inside your temp, unless you install some kind of filter on top..
