Safe mode? WHERE IS IT!

Thread Starter 
Got my Frankenstein pc up and running. how the hell do i get to safe mode?

F8 just brings up boot selection, floppy and my two HDDs. one has XP and i cant get past the activation cause i dont have the drivers installed for internet. the other has corrupted windows 7. help??

You need to time the f8 after the post screen goes away.

Hit F8 after you post

And for your driver issue:

Go to your motherboard manufacturer's site on a different computer, download the drivers for XP, and put them on a flash drive, then install them.

If you get to the Boot Menu, just select the HDD, and as soon as you hit Enter, keep pressing F8 again and should bring up the Windows Boot Menu.

i have the disc, just need to get past windows activation
