Fan Speed Help?

Thread Starter
I have my CPU fan running at 100% 24/7 (not 24/7 just when my computers on). It runs at at 3400RPM's. Incase it matters my CPU is the Phenom II X4 955 (listed below) Is this bad for my CPU fan? If so then how bad?

It shouldn't be bad for the fan as I believe smaller size fans run at higher RPMs (and make more noise.) If you're worried about the fan dying replacement fans are available for the stock heat sink. You would just need to find the appropriate size and pick one with PWM if you want to use that feature, but if you run the fan at full speed it doesn't matter if it has it or not.
