Temps are HIGH!

Thread Starter
I just fired up furmark 1.9.1 and ran a benchmark @ 1280x720 in fullscreen mode with no AA. Scored 5454 pts with an avg FPs of 90. Is this normal?

Also I ran the burn test for about 2 minutes and 30 seconds and card #2 was at 99C. I know this isn't normal, but the fan speed was at 100%. How hot can these get before damage?

GPUs are meant to handle up to 100c+, then they just shut off before damage can occur. In the summer both of my cards are running in the low 80s, and can sometimes touch 90c. As long as they're not running at those temperatures and fan speeds at all times, you have nothing to worry about.

that's too hot, reconsider your airflow if it's the card on top. If it's the card on the bottom, then something is definitely wrong

I can never seem to get the cards to stay all that cool with stock fan profiles as they seem to be oriented more towards keeping it quiet than keeping it cool.
