Stressing Motherboard?

Thread Starter
I ran my 8 pin behind my motherboard, will it stress the motherboard too much?
it shouldnt, unless the cable is super tight and bending the 8pin socket on the mobo

Is the socket being bent? if it's not putting stress on the cable or the mobo it's fine. They do make 8 pin extension cables though if you're concerned.

you are fine, i run mine behind my mobo. It also depends on the mobo and its build quality, the older the board the less it might be able to handle the slight offset from the budge behind it, but most if not all boards can take it.
