Locked Router

Thread Starter
Hello fellow OCN'ers.
Once again I ask for guidance in a problem Im facing...
Today I received a thomson tg784n that was used for 3 days at a lan party, after that lan party the cleaning staff(one of them was my friend) started to get the stuff that was left behind in the middle of those stuff there was this router.

Its working cause I can get on the main page of the router if I connect it via ethernet, I also get Wi-Fi signal from it on my laptop, so it seems it is perfectly fine. I wished to replace my old crappy router with this one but I cant seem to log into the router... Also the reset button seems to do nothing.

Is there a way for me to discover the password for the root user of this router?
The closest I've been to a solution involved a JTAG.

Thanks for all the answers.

Page 83 and 84

Reset the Thomson Gateway via the Reset button
Proceed as follows:
1 Make sure the Thomson Gateway is turned on.
2 Push the Reset button until the Power LED lights red - this will take about 7 seconds.
3 Release the Reset button.
4 The Thomson Gateway restarts.
Your system administrator may have disabled the physical reset button of the Thomson
Gateway. In this case, a hardware reset to defaults is not possible.

Next step would be taking it apart and look for a jumper or battery. Otherwise you may be able to find some firmware compatible with it like dd-wrt which is not but there may be something else.
