dont like my new keyboard - Page 2

lol
IT IS A KEYBOARD!!
It only makes a difference if you type **** LOADS OF TEXT!

ffs, get over it already! All this BS about "mechanical keyboards" is totla b0ll0cks. Pure snobbery UNLESS typing ****-loads of text.

I was using mechs back in the AS400 days- yes, it was nice. but... SHEESH!

If you are either:
a) normal, or
b) gamer, or
c) NORMAL it makes no differnce WHATSOEVER... no matter what some KB "experts" tell you.

Cool story bro.

And it obviously makes a difference if OP didn't like the board as soon as he used it. Just how I didn't like how I didn't like black switches when I had my filco.

But, tell em why you mad.

Simple solution, ignore it.

And crap? Maybe to you.

I don't throw my money on crap.

I'm not a coder, but I type enough that the feel I get from my keyboard and type of switch I use is important to me. Surely, others agree.

Rly? what is your need for a mech KB? If your job involves typing lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of text and, you are a coder, or a journo, or an author.... If not - you threw your money at crap. eof

Splendid - good for you.... but a mech KB is NO help for a whole load of peeps.

You type enough to warrant your purchase... fine! GFY!

surely you have data to back that up? or are you pulling these stats out of your ass? like the rest of your arguments.

i'll take my own advice and just ignore it. you think you're right, and nothing i say will change your mind nor do i care enough to change your mind.

Stats?
What stats?
As a qualified QA Statistician(ISO9000 series, Manufacturing and theoretical Statistical Process Control), I saw no stats.

My only argument is that for most people, a mech KB is a huge outlay of $$ for zero return.

And your point would be, Mr."Know-it-all-sheeple."?

What is your point... please make it.

Your own advice is fine; take it: I could not care less about it.

Thread Starter
well... i think I might go ahead and pre order a corsair k90 (mx red) keyboard. Those should be easier on my fingers than the mx blacks.

@newphase I understand that you think mechanical keyboards are a waste of money but I am the type of person that if I am going to buy something I would rather spend that little bit extra and get what I want/my moneys worth so that a year later I dont feel like getting a new one again. So I was looking at a backlit dome keyboard for 60... but why do that when its possible to get a much better board for 40-80 bucks more? if I could get a awesome rubber dome keyboard with backlighting for 20 bucks then ya, i may not consider a mechanical but I might as well spend that little bit more and get something better.... just hoping reds are better than blacks :S

So... ignoring the whole argument up top, I remember posting in your earlier thread asking for feedback. lol that you got fatigued really quickly. As I said in that post, tactile bump won't be that noticed for gaming, it comes down to switch type. If you really want to try Brown switches and dead set on Amazon, you're basically down to Das and Filco. I want to say XArmor, but they're kind of a rarity. If you're willing to work with newegg instead, you could get a Rosewill board, since Newegg is pretty good about RMA/Returns as well.

Or you could always just reorder that Ducky Shine you had on preorder before = D

Get a Rosewill kb on newegg, I believe they're free-shipping
