Oh lock, it says 3gb. Would you look at that, almost all dual gpu boxes say twice the memory of their standard counterparts. The 5970s were the same with 2gb VRAM.

Again 5970s as my corner stone, was advertised with eyefinity (not the area or XFX) yet it only had 1gb. I've run Crysis 2 on dx9 on 5760 x 1080 on a 460 sli, so no, it works.

YA, I know so.

Dude really? Again... I was proving it can be done, you were saying LAWL EVGA WOULD NEVER LEAVE 1GB FOR VRAM FOR SURROUND. I proved they do, they have with the 460 2win, the 590 the 295 and countless more. It is advertising, the memory is mirrored as was told in this thread about a billion times but you still refuted.

And FYI, I played Crysis before the dx11 and high res texture pack. 460s ran them on extreme when overclocked on surround. That's impressive for midrange little cards that you so totally dissed as lacking not possible to run on surround on 1gb. You can run surround on any gb, it wont run well but it will infact run.

I'd hope so. With one gig they might as well sell it lower or at the same price of a 580.

"UPDATE: After getting some feedback from EVGA on this, it turns out the SLI connection on the card is not actually working at this time. I asked if/when it might be enabled but haven't gotten a response on it yet. A commenter on this article actually pointed out that NVIDIA indicated in its own forums that the inclusion of the connector was a mistake completely but it was too late to have them removed. So...it turns out you are likely going to have to stick with the performance of the GTX 460 2WIN as is."

I believe this will happen with the 560ti2win as well
Surely they would not overlook that twice?

what?
where?
when?
u think i'm serious about the sli vram thing...
that i dunno its actually halved...
i'm running sli right now
someone can't read between the lines
first my 2GB comment, then I specifically stated the 1GB comment right after... (yea I dunno how sli vram works... i don't)
i really don't care if you've proved it and i know it's do-able
i just wouldn't do it or recommend a measly 1GB and yes i know my 1.5GB's isn't much more either... i'll say it before u or anyone else does

First off, 5800 is a DX10 GPU. And it'll run Crysis 2 just fine like the many games they ran before. 5800's were great cards in their time (especially performance per watt), and still are. Last I checked, there was a 5970 on the Egg for $400, which would most the time trump your eVGA garbage.

As a side note, title of this thread is pretty misleading. It says "GTX 585", which is what I clicked on to find; only to find a carbon copy of the 4602WIN. An overpriced ($520) card that lacks SLi with an another card to future-proof. With a plastic shroud and cheap PCB quality.

Man eVGA fanboys are stupid.
