Like MountainDewMadOScar said these cards are appropriate for MATX users or people with one PCI-E that can be used (for whatever reasons) that are looking for a performance that is greater than gtx 580 without spending too much. Also... great for Surround. Folding, I believe 2 gpu in a single pcb usually leads to slightly better power efficiency as well.

If you want to put dual overclocked 470s on an MATX board. Go right ahead.

What it comes down to. the 560Ti 2 win maybe alittle more expensive but not only is a great MATX Solution, and a fantastic idea. Much like Powercolours 6870x2
Not only is it cooler than 2 GTX 560 ti's
but it outpreforms 2 GTX 560 ti's
and its cheaper than a GTX 580 and beats it by said 30%

1 560Ti 2 Win vs 2 GTX 560 Ti's
I don't even know where to start. Firstly, these cards aren't "made" for MATX setups. They're produced to get rid of the leftover GF104 cores, similar to some other occasions that happened before (I.E G92). It comes in cheaper for them to put 2 cores on a cheap circuit board then ship out. It's an easier way to get rid of old cards till the ones (*cough* GTX 585 *cough*) come in.

Few people run M-ATX setups so your point, while a little relavent, makes little sense. For the majority of people, this card, or the 6870x2 for that matter aren't worth it. Period on that.

Also, this card doesn't outperform two vanilla 560 Ti's. It performs very similar in a dual-GPU solution, which means worse temp control and reliability. It doesn't beat the 580 by "%30" either. It'll get beaten once both are OC'ed. Do some more research.

they are gf 114 cores. and they seem to run nice and cool according to this review and... where do you get the idea that these are unreliable... I am curious

3DM doesn't mean jack to begin with. Most the time that card won't OC as high as Twin-Frozr 2 560 Ti's (some of the best OC'ers), Hawk's and such. Also, that guy "SKYMTL" gives a "Dam worthy" award to anything. Even to PSU's he doesn't properly test. He knocked down the 3 GB 580 for not helping every game from extra memory, also reviews at PureOC (which again is Canadian) and so his reviews are nowhere up there with W1zzard's. TPU's GPU reviews (what I use) are some of the best, if not the best out there.

GF114 - GF104, made from the same die. The 560 Ti is a shader unlocked, stronger 460. Regular 560 Ti or custom solutions have higher PCB quality, run cooler and are more reliability. Where did I get that idea? Single reference GPU > cheaped out non-ref dual-GPU solution to empty up overstock.

If this card had 4gb of VRAM, it would be the Ultimate Budget surround card on the market...
