Seeing how Best Buy didn't specify HD+ or 1600x900 resolution, no. But I googled it, you're right. That's still a moot point when OP wants a backlit keyboard -.- which I know the Best Buy model doesn't have.

i have the one from best buy, which is why i know. I told him that the 1299 version has the backlight, but for 370 bucks is a little better graphics and a backlit keyboard worth it? up to him to decide

oh and the ssd cache is only in the 1299 version as well

Thread Starter
Well I went down in person today to check out the Dell XPS 15Z. Not that impressed. Looked at the Sony S ...Meh it's ok nothing to write home about.

So finally I said screw it.. backlit keyboard is nice but if I really need it I can / (and did) buy a USB LED light to use.

So UX31E-DH72 it is! I have found only one retailer that claims to have it in stock. Wish me luck as I will attempt to order it up tomorrow morning for next day air shipping.

I read alot of reviews about the UX31E-DH72 and the chief complaints were really only the Keyboard & Track Pad (has been solved via driver update)

Can't beat that it has a 500+ Read and Write Performance on the 256GB SSD either.

Thanks again for all of the suggestions fellas!

(Will send pics on Wed if you guy's have any interest )
