Here is the code:
Code:

If someone can just tell me how to make the data files editable, that would be great. I have already turned off read-only for all of the files but I still am not allowed to edit the game files in edit mode in OpenIV

I am so lost!

For your vehicles.img extract the wft and wtd to the desktop. Then put them in the vehicles.img. Then take them again from the desktop rename them to the car you'll be replacing then add them to the vehicles.img. Handling.dat and vehicles.ide are essentially the same principle. For the car you are replacing copy and past his code where the particular car is located. Notice in my example of the Vehicles.img that the mustang GT500 (snake) wft and wtd files are the same as the supergt just relabeled.

As you can see for the code for the ide in this particular model he is replacing the sabregt. You can see in my code i replaced the supergt instead. Because essentially you can spawn it instead of having to find one. All i did was copy and past his code on the supergt code where the naming scheme ends.

Also one of my images is just everything backed up. For modding GTA IV it's critical. Have backups of literally everything you edit. Mods, configs, ide files, etc.

Code:
-backup your files before replacing stuff-1.extract snake.wft and snake.wtd and rename the files to the car you want to replace (any 2 door, for example 'sabregt' !)2.use sparkiv to browse vehicles.img and replace the files, rebuild and save the archive.3.browse gta4/common/data and open the following files with texteditor, replace the lines for the car you replace with these-------------------------------------------------------------------------handling.dat1855 0.33 85 0.0 0 -0.38 0.0 6 0.28 4.0 280 0.6 0.65 0.8 40 1.7 0.95 18 0.06 0.46 3.0 1.1 1.1 0.1 -0.08 0.0 0.45 1.0 1.0 2.2 2.5 0.0 75000 440010 0 1-------------------------------------------------------------------------carcols.dat0,0,0,-,black# 0 black156,161,164,-,silver# 4 silver stone poly82,86,97,dark,grey# 21 steel gray poly140,0,0,-,red# 28 torino red pearl76,117,183,bright,blue# 63 striking blue 0,0,30,-,blue# 87 med.sapphire blue firemist7,7,18,dark,blue# 88 twilight blue poly(IMPORTANT: THE LINE MUST BE USED IN car4 SECTION [bottom of carcols.dat file], REMOVE ANY EXISTENT CARCOL LINE AND ADD THIS ONE INSTEAD)28,113,2,2, 28,0,2,0, 21,0,2,0, 2,0,2,0, 63,113,2,2, 63,0,2,0, 113,0,113,0, 87,0,128,0, 87,113,128,2, 88,0,0,0,-------------------------------------------------------------------------vehicles.idesabregt, sabregt,car,SABREGT,SABREGT,VEH@LOW,VEH@LOW_LE2_RI2,100,999,0.29,0.29,0,5,1.0,0,
