That, and the fact that the 2600k doesn't render any faster than the 2500k; haha.

i think the decreased ram frequency is the main cause of your problem, because the frequency is way too low

try buying ram cooler and then overclock it

i think he needs to go to his bios and set his ram up.

its 1600 ram IE 800 double.

its runnung under speed because asus boards use auto as default.

XMP will fix his issues with ram

if ASUS board AI overclock from auto to XMP @ OP save reboot post results,
using the AI Suite? man, you ARE behind. AI will not solve his problem, but it sure creates a few...just wait till OP posts about his 128 degree mobo temp reading in AI Suite...

but hey...if it's the unknown XMP profile that his RAM has that he hasn't found, then kudos to you man, because it took me a months to realize that an XMP profile existed on my Corsair XMS3 1600 RAM.

What's all this noise about a hidden XMP profile on the RAM?
1) What would I be configuring in the UEFI, and to what?
2) How would that affect the CPU heat and performance in any way?

read up its really easy.

and well maybe it will lower your temps if auto is setting your ram wrong maybe more volts than they need putting more load on your cpus IMC.

XMP is what you need sir

get in that bios

you should configure your ram settings to set a higher clock so that they would be able to give data to the processor at a fater speed and your rendering time lowers down...
