Uninstalling M4A79XTD Evo Drivers

Thread Starter
Does anyone know where the drivers for the motherboard are located? They don't seem to exist and the driver cd has no uninstall option as far as I can see. I need to uninstall the chipset and LAN drivers

To uninstall, just to the device manager and uninstall what ever you need uninstalled.

For drivers, click the link below:

I can uninstall the LAN drivers, but I cannot seem to find the chipset drivers or the boot drivers in Device manager. They are not specified

Have you looked under "Show hidden devices" in device manager?

I believe you need to be in safe mode.

Have you tried uninstalling them in Add/Remove programs? I know with ATI you can "Express uninstall all ATI software" using they're uninstaller.

I found no ATI utilities in the Add/Remove list.

I tried to show all devices in device manager with the [i]devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices[\\i] registry edit but I don't think I came up with anything really noteworthy. In an ideal world, all I would really like to do is uninstall my ASUS boot drivers. I would like to leave the standard Windows boot drivers in place. Under the IDE/ATA/ATAPI Controllers tab, I see three ATA Channel 0 controllers and three ATA Channel 1 controllers. There are two Standard Dual Channel PCI IDE controllers in the list as well. I believe they are the standard Windows boot drivers. But I am not sure
