So close. I wanna cry now...

Thread Starter
Messa sad boy. I was sooooo excited to hear and read about the surprising new's and launch of eVGA's new toy, the freaking badass GTX 560 ti 2Win and to use eVGA's awesome step up program to upgrade my GTX 570 SC so I have a bit more horespower in BF3, Skrim, SWTOR and future games and still only need one slot in my mATX case and use my existing PSU. Or....so I thought.

http://www.evga.com/articles/00656/

I was sooooo freaking bummed out though when I saw the following picture showing it that the 560Ti 2Win requires 2 8pin power connections.

Sadly, my reliable and trusth worthy Antec PSU NewPower 550watt only has a single 6 pin and a 6+2 pin power connectors. So much for that

http://www.newegg.com/Pro...c%20new%20power%20550w

But wait! I thought maybe I could use the molex power adapters that came with my GTX 570 SC to power the second 8 pin slot but eVGA only gave me 6 pin molex power adapters....

*sigh* I was so excited to get a newer and faster card for less then $180 after trade up and use my existing PSU with no issues. But now I is sad I can't without forking over another $150+ for a new PSU.........

There's a 6 to 8 pin connector.

From a bit of quick Googling, this card requires 340W? Not sure if your power supply can handle it.

if it makes you feel any better.....i don't think your PSU has enough wattage for that card anyways

but i just did a quick google search and found some molex to 8pin adapters.

If the step up program gives you a whole box set, you'll get those adapters, if not, ask them to send you some with the step-up program. I heard they're quite nice to their customers.

$520? Not sure if I like that... that's $260 per GPU, and you can get 2 560 Tis for less. Plus, you're only getting 1 GB. And that's not even mentioning your conundrum of PSU requirements. $520 for 1GB? Pass.

My take on this, coming, here's an advice to you buddy... right now, eVGA is piece of garbage quality. Anndd

that card is horrible price/performance. Just like the 4602WIN before it. In fact, it's a carbon copy of the 4602WIN.

Get something else.
