An 8 Core CPU on IVB-E is where the money is at for me. With an 8 core CPU on Intel's 22nm process, we may experience higher clocks with lower power consumption when directly compared to Intel's 32nm process. Plus, Intel has no motivation to release an 8 core CPU on SNB-E. Then they would lose future sales when they release an 8 core CPU on SNB-E.

It would be nice to be given the choice for us watercoolers who can handle it. Knowing intel though they'll lock it down well and force us to pay $800+ for the octocore xeons

Hardware Virtualizaton basically makes it more easy to run a VM right ? Or is there more uses than that ?

Yes, I'm referring to the VT-d. I should have made that clear. I'll make it more clear in my post.

So basically expect Xeons, there is no 8-core for LGA2011 ? I heard until Hasvell ?

Because if yes, i might reconsider things. Expect robbing my parents for those 4K, ehm, it also comes down to this - I may get i7-3930K and be totally fine. Maybe secretly laughing at people spending 1K on Xtreme CPU with minimal benefits over the 3930K. Or i may be the laughed one, and get 3960X so i finally experience the top Xtreme power for the first time. *Drool*. But thinking about it, if i'd go for 3960X wouldnt it be better to add 300$ and go for an eight-core Xeon E5-2660.

Since we dont know the prices at all, and there are no comparison tests, one might wonder whats the best choice. So for me, its wait for some review and overclocking/game benching articles and few OCN comments until i make this decision.
