Go to the properties of the controller, in device manager.

Yeah, that doesn't show up. I can't run it I guess. But you said you ran other benches, what ones?

I've seen this problem happen since June for your SSD. its a very common problem going on.
Same SSD but on a Gigabyte MA790x-ud4p. problem was that with this certain model of SSD the Solid series. if plugged into a AMD/Intel board, that dont have Sata3, will drop to Sata1 speeds.

Not sure what was the results of any firmware updates, but seems the problem is still going on with OCZ Solid series. The firmware that was tried is 2.06 and 2.09.

I suggest you try the SSD on another system with sata2 ports (Intel) and AMD board with SATA3.

Problem is I don't have another system to test with that would have different chipset. My wife's system is running and amd based board with Nvidia chipset.

Firmware is up to date as well.

I updated sata ahci drivers, and all other updates I could find about my system, but nothing seems to change it.

when you say other drives are you referring to your raptors and not your 250 Gb drives.

i read that ssd performance may be held back by other drives in the system and that is probably what is happening in your case. this is if your 250 drives are still installed.

Yes, all of my drives are installed, what do you mean held back? All the other drives are currently running at sata 2 speeds, the only one having the issue is the SSD.

Do you know of a fix, or at least the article you read this? I'd rather get it up to sata 2 and get normal speeds out of it. It's performing OK on sata 1 at this time however.

It's called a 'jerk' right? I'm taking calculus now wink.gif

edit attempt at keeping on topic: It shouldn't matter but is your OS on the SSD while testing? What about bios settings/updates?
