How do i get this theme?

Looks like this:

I used to be able to do it but now i dont remember how.. happened to me on accident today after a reboot. Anyone know? it looks cool

Type "Visual Effects" in the search bar. Click the second link ("Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows") and select "Adjust for best performance".

No.. thats the classic theme, and the one im talking about is different..
i think it had something to do with killing a certain process but i dont remember what..

And yes that is windows classic with the task bar modified....

Where you running a cpu intensive task or did you load up your drive and make the program not respond? because on my old computer (not my sig rig) if I played Dirt 2 and when it started up I would click something else and it would give me a option to set the windows theme off aero and to something else but you get the jist of things.

I don't want to tell you to force your computer to not respond but thats how it happened to me on accident before and around that time is when I realised I needed an upgrade

That is the classic theme. The process you killed would have been dwm.exe and killing it would still leave you with windows looking exactly as it was before, except without transparency/aero. The only way to get it to look like that is by using the classic theme.

Once again.. that is not the classic theme. This is how classic looks:

Now compare that to the picture in the OP. Little difference, but there is some. This theme, i believe, was used only for command prompt window in XP, no matter what theme you were using at the time.
