Hi guys..

im new to overclock

im interesting to overclock my cpu for Battlefield 3... i want to upgrade my graphiccard soon...

so my pc spec..


proz : i7 920 D0

Cooler : noctua nh dh 14

mainboard : Asus P6T Deluxe V2

Ram : Corsair Dominator 6 GB 1600 mhz

i want to overlock it to atleast 4 ghz or more... want an stabil pc.. ^^)

if some one have the same spec and overclocked it to 4 ghz or more

pls send me the settings for bios..

you should EASILY hit 4ghz with that 920 D0 on a noctua dh14 with temps to spare

what frequency u trying to attain? what temps? u can push to 85c as an absolute max temp. ill try to throw u some settings but ur cpu could do worse/better so u will most likely have to tweak.

1 hour occt without error

max temp 73°C

what u think should i go higher or is 4 ghz enough ?

u could prolly lower your qpi but id use prime95 blend test to make sure its stable.
Ask yourself if 4ghz is enough. If the answer is yes than no.
altho u could push it till ur absolute max temps are 85c and not 1c over.
but stress test again with prime blend and see how that goes.

as you increase bclk you will have to increase vcore as well probably and maybe even qpi beyond 1.35. but yes if u want the best possible performance out of ur cpu max load it till 85c and not 1c over
