The 3090 is actually the overall superior sensor to the 3050 spec wise.

30x30 Pixel array @ 6400 FPS. 5.8megapixel/s
vs.
19x19 Pixel array @ 6600 FPS 2.4megapixel/s

The only improvements are:
-The 3050 is stated to be able to track up to 160 IPS on white paper.
-Nicer native DPI range. (250-500-750-1000-1250-1500-1750-2000 from factory vs. 1800-3500)

Don't count the 3090 out though. I-Rocks and Logitech have essentially proven that the sensor is able to track at high rates via correct firmware and maybe lens.

ADNS-3080 has prediction. If your funds are unlimited it's good idea to wait for Zowie AM.

Well, Logitech MX518 (and G400) is one of the most popular (FPS) gaming mouse and it has prediction.

Some people like prediction, some people don't. It's a personal preference.

+1

I was skeptical of the size myself, took me less than a day to fall in love with it. Tried a deathadder later the same week and absolutely hated it in comparison, this is the mouse for me. I switch between hybrid palm/claw/fingertip depending on the situation and this mouse is comfortable with every style. I'll snap some pics of the different grips and how my hand ends up sitting on the mouse if you want.

Edit: I should mention the tracking is amazing with a medium/high sensitivity (to me). Lift off distance is 1 cd (barely) on my QcK with the latest firmware. The scroll wheel has distinct yet soft notches, mouse clicks are distinguished without being too soft (I accidently pressed the deathadder buttons constantly, especially when picking the mouse up) yet still not loud. My single gripe with this mouse is the fat cord but I've already gotten used to it.

hell, i use mine on a steelseries QcK+ (soft) and I have no issues in BF3 or SC2

but the build quality is second to none.
I use a QCK+ with my G500 which uses the same sensor and it seems to track every bit as good as my deathadder.

That's pretty odd seeing as the G500 has positive acceleration and the DeathAdder does not. Maybe your DA is jacked up.

The acceleration while present won't effect all playing styles.
