If you want the fastest thing out there, then yes it is worth it

i have the 120gb revo drive and its worth every penny, i cant wait until i get the revo drive 3 x2

Only if you got the $, you probably wouldn't notice a difference compared to SATA SSD.

I was thinking about getting one, but I found out it might not be the best idea for me.

Just make a list of things you want to get better with a SSD and then see if those are worth the price you pay for the SSD or is it smarter just to buy a regular SATA2 or SATA3 SSD.

Some of the newer ones can R/W at over a GB/s. I can only imagine that a couple SATA 3 drives in RAID 0 would outperform it, however.

thats amazing, but how do these things work? i thought ssds in raid0 was bad?
