Looks pretty close to the Moon. What happens if it hits there ???

As you can see, it won't.

If it does, moon gets a tiny weeny crater. Nothing else.

And hopefully a sweet show. Would we be able to see hit or no?

That's terrifying.

I've been up for way too long and am now paranoid as I could possibly get. Thanks a lot!

I am going to make a prediction and its going to be an earthquake not sure how big, but significant that will happen because of this asteroid getting too close to the earth. Also I believe that it should happen around the time the asteroids passes.

They said it will have no interference with Earth's plates. At all.

You better be smoking something really, really strong right now.

The asteroid would have to be incredibly massive or dense to have ANY effect on plates.

It has gravity and it is close, so its going to do something when it passed, but it might take 1-3 days for the earthquake to happen, just a prediction =/.

...

No.

It does not have enough mass, and it's not nearly close enough.

The moons mass is 7.3477 × 10^22 kg and orbits Earth at a speed of 1.023 km/s. Why aren't Earths tectonic plates spinning and flying into space? Not enough mass.

For it to have any effect, it would have to fly right through the atmosphere, and then it would crash anyways.

[tinfoil hat]Apparently it is either going to hit Nigeria or Australia[/tinfoil hat]

Someone told me that today. They were speaking to me face to face so I don't have any links or proof other than what I typed there.
