my pc wont start if i press the power button the PSU light is on and everything is plugged in

More info please. Your sig says a 350 watt no name, is it from Dell? Do fans spin even for a moment? Do you see a power indicator on your motherboard? If it's from dell there should be a light somewhere that says it's getting power.

I'd first take everything out then put all the parts back in, making sure everything fits snugly.

Try it with a different PSU if you can. It might be dead..

try troubleshooting with different parts if you have any. different ram, cpu, motherboard?

Dell actually uses lower end Delta/Hi-Pro units, which are pretty decent. But yeah, sounds like it. Under hot, low airflow conditions and dust, PSU may had it's days. This is what I thought of when I first read the title. I know it's Metalcore but I had to. lol.
