ASUS VG278H Transmitter

Thread Starter
Anyone know if it will be removable? I am pretty sure it wont I am hoping it will.

As although I will mostly use it horizontal I would like the option to put it vertical without the transmitters making them not line up properly. (For Surround)

I was wondering the same thing. From the pictures I've seen it looks like it is integrated in the bezel frame, I'm sure it "could" be removed with some effort.

If you really want to use portrait surround, I think you should look at an IPS panel. FYI, I've used surround in portrait mode with 3x 2312hm and I was not impressed. For desktop usage, the bezels were in the way. I thought trying to keep a document or web page in a 1080p space was a little too narrow (1200p is much better). The bezels were also in the way of menus and text for most FPS and RPGs that I tried. The resolution is nice with portrait surround, but honestly I felt that gaming on 40" TV was better in almost every way.
