So now intel can charge even higher prices! Wooohooo for a lack of competition.

This is long overdue in my opinion. They only department doing any good right now is their gpu division. They need to restructure, bring in new talent and leadership and get competitive again.

So Sad, I bet they will be pulling back from the high end sector which means my AM3+ mobo will probably end up in the garbage can. If they no longer pose a performance threat to intel, will intel back off and increase performance as much as they could from platform to platform?

I hope ARM and Nvidia get in the game.

I'll tell you exactly what is going to happen......

Amd = Wayne and Garth
Intel = Alice Cooper

This scares me a little, hope they don't leave us enthusiasts to far behind if they are pursuing APU and mobile more, we need the high end competition, not all our wallets are socket 1155 compatible

My thoughts exactly!

Hmm, the focus on mobile platforms will enhance their revenue in that department. I just hope they don't abandon the enthusiast market entirely :/. The competition is good for customers. Then again, the company is about making money, and most of their money doesn't come from us enthusiasts (in the CPU department at least)
