Headset driver replacement

Thread Starter
My Razer Carcharias broke AGAIN. This time, the right channel. At lowest volume with the sound control, I can hear out of both ears, but when I raise the sound, the left channel only raises.
I'm no sound electrician, but I think the right driver is broken. Sound does come out of it, but compared to the left channel, seems like nothing does.

Last picture is full-size. Look at what I highlighted. Looks cracked to me... or it's a strand of copper wire. I can't tell, I can't disassemble the headset any further.

Razer is COMPLETELY useless with anything regarding repair, all they have is their FAQ page and RMA support (1yr warranty, had headset for 1.5yrs~). I called, I emailed.. useless. Just like any other time. I once asked for a wiring diagram of the sound control on the Carcharias... guess what? It's classified or something like that. They can't give me any information about it. I had to take it apart unknowingly and manage to fix it myself...
So no replacement parts from Razer. Are drivers a general standard for headsets, or does evey company just make their own? Is there a place I get get a replacement driver, and if there is, about how much would it cost?

EDIT: Oh, and I'll be buying a pair of AD700s within the week. I'm fed up with this bad headset. I remember them being $90 on Amazon... $110 now? What's up with that? Where would be one of the best places to buy some AD700s?
That being said, I still want these fixed. My dad needs a comfortable headset and he doesn't care much about sound quality, I would rather hand him these than throw them away...

There's no real reliable source to buy headphone drivers. Your best bet would be to find a broken Carcharias headset and use the drivers out of it. Otherwise you're going to have a difficult time finding one that'll work with that specific headset
