Vertex 3 & FTW3 hell!!! - Page 2

I have Sata 3 enabled in the bios. Still nothing. I gave up and installed it into a regular Sata port. I wish there was something I could do...

Don't worry about it, you shouldn't use the sata 3 on your board anyways. Marvell ports suck.

I could definitely agree with you on that! I've never had a ssd. I'm just confused about maintenance. I've read about "TRIM." Not really sure what that is. Just that it's built in, and I don't have to do anything at this point.

Oh, and never defrag, turn off paging...etc. I guess that's all I'm asking at this point to be honest.

TRIM helps keep the drive fast, marks parts of old deleted data on the drive to wipe.
