You're most welcome.

While your check out the PSU cal, have a look at the recommendations for SLI 570's, when you have filled everything in, it should pop up a list of PSU's at bottom.

If you can find one that is a few bucks more than a 550w PSU and you're adamant that you will be going SLI in the future, then by all means get a 750w.

How do I know if a PSU will support 2 570s if it only has one 12v rail, and each card needs 38a?

The PSU calc I mentioned should recommend PSU's based on that info.

EDIT:

IIRC 38 amps is for the whole system.

Ok. I think I'm just going to go with a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817207013 for now, since it's only $55 after MIB. Plus, XFX is good, is it not? It was in the PSU calc for everything with 1 570, and you said that 550w is plenty for my plans. When I get a 2nd 570, if I end up going that route, it would probably be about a year from now anyway. So I think I'll just go cheaper for now, as I do have a budget on my build.

Yes that would be a fantastic PSU, it's internals are based on the SeaSonic S12IIs and should handle a single gpu with no problems whatsoever.

Good luck

Good luck
Just to throw this into the mix, I could get this combo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.761485, to save slightly on total build price and I'd still get the 400R that's in my cart, as well as a slightly higher wattage PSU for the same price of the 400R and XFX 550w PSU on their own. Hmm....

Looks pretty good. Just a shame that HDD's are so expensive right now. Just think how cheap they would be around black friday if there was no flooding...

Yea it really is a shame. Oh well. I need one, so I can't just not buy it. Oh and, this is actually my final build. Probably going to order it all tomorrow.

Seems newegg is charging a bit of a premium on hard drives. Even with the situation in thailand, other sites have 500gb seagate drives at $85-90 in canada. I'm sure in the US you might be able to find a place cheaper.
