PPL is "phase lock loop" It multiplies your core ratio by BLCK to get your CPU frequency. You will eventually hit a wall if you do not enable the overvoltage for it.

Have you read this (Link)? It explains a lot.

I actually had pll overvoltage disabled for my 5ghz overclock, so I guess it depends on the system. You might also want to up the Core current limit. I have an asus board so it's a bit different but I had to put my vrm frequency to 350. The Sandy Bridge Stable Club Thread it shows 250 for core current limit for 4.5ghz+ overclocks.

I have mine at 4.8GHz with 1.344v. 6 hours stable with Prime95. Haven't had a chance to test it longer since I keep leaving the house. Don't want to let it run while I'm not there.

I can post the settings later. Also, my temps are around 70c max.

I don't know if I'm doing it correctly, lol. But it is working!

I just went off info from this forum. Especially the Sandy Bridge Stable Club.

Edit// Also, my ram is set to the XMP profile. So it's at 1600MHz with a CR of 1t.

If it's 70c max you can safely leave it while you aren't there. I have left mine overnight and the worst case it BSOD's but nothing got screwed up. 12 hours seems to be what a lot of people consider stable. 4.8 @ 1.344v sounds quite nice though.

I was able to get 5ghz @ 1.38v but my max temps were much higher then that. They were 80c max for one core.

I will start it again when I get home and leave it going until tomorrow.

I have run a few 4 hour test and one 6 hour test. Just can't know for sure until I hit 12 hours. Definitely doing really good though.

I will drop the Volts after I know this is 100% stable. I am using the offset to set the voltage. So have to be care not to go to low when idling.
