HDMI switch question

Thread Starter

Im trying to get a switch so I can output from my PC to my monitor and TV.
I dont want a splitter so that its outputting twice I just want a switch.
I saw this one

But it says it is 1 input and 3 output. Would it be possible to input from my PC and switch the 2 outputs?

I saw this one Amazon.com: Ultra High Performance HDMI Switcher, 3to1 Switch: Electronics

That switcher is to select 3 different inputs to 1 output, the reverse of what you are looking for.

This will suit your purpose. Turn the TV off when you don't it.

Amazon.com: HDMI Splitter (1 to 2) Premium Splitter Cable: Electronics

great a splitter thats what I figured. My question is if I change the source on the tv will a signal still be running through? I dont want unnecessary strain on my gpu or loss of quality if im only using one screen at a time.

I know what you mean. If you don't select from your TV menu input from "HDMI" or switch to other channels or turn it off, the signal will be cut off.
