First timer WC build. Want silence. - Page 2

Get a shoggy sandwich. It virtually eliminates any pump vibrations. Well worth the money.

I've seen some Rads where the pump can be mounted so you don't need a Res. Is this better?

My thought, having just fiddled with trying to connect the two, is that having the res integrated with the pump would save the trouble.

Here's the last radiator (9x120) you'll ever buy and since your mounting options in your current case is limited, you might as well get the biggest external radiator you can buy. You can purchase a stand for them also, install 9 Gentle Typhoons on just one side for a total of 18 fans! They even have a 9x140mm radiator, there cheaper than you would think! There's dozens of style fan grills and accessories that you can buy. If you prefer to keep the HWLabs SR1 420 radiator there's no reason why you can't run GT AP-15's.

I hate you. I hate you for showing me that giant rad. That's all I've been thinking about when I look at my 420. I haven't even tried the 420 and I have thoughts of cheating on her!

Well, if I can find a buyer for my current 420, I'll consider buying that rad.

Nice 560 btw smile.gif Is that foam around the lip of the adapter and the fan?

It is 3/8" wide rubber foam weather seal I purchased at the local hardware store, you have to use it if your using a 140mm adapter with a 120mm fan! It fills the air gaps and dampens vibration, all 120mm fans will have air gaps when using these BGears 140mm adapters. If you ever decide you want or need more graphics cards in your loop, you will be thinking you need a second radiator. Sell it on eBay, that's the quickest way to get your money back. I've seen these attached to the side of computer cases. After going through a few radiator upgrades you'll end up with it sooner or later! wink.gif

I've already put the 420 up for sale. Lets see if I get any bites! smile.gif Heh heh heh...

I may have to go get some of that rubber foam. I'll wait until I get my fans and adapters. I got the Bitspower ones. Not sure if there is a difference between those and the BGears one besides price.

Getting impatient with the zero stock at all stores for the MCP35x Rev2b Reservoir. I'm looking for similar or better functionality (Multi ports) and quality. Suggestions please!

Just think of all those people getting ready to upgrade to Sandy and/or Ivy Bridge and yet getting your hands on a single Gentle Typhoon is proven difficult! Supply is down and demand is high, so will be the cost of buying them when there finely in stock.

I got my fans! I ordered from JabTech when they had 150+ for $16.99!

But the reservoir is where I'm getting impatient. I know it's a great res for its price, but I don't want to wait so long. I could use a glass bottle as a temporary one I guess.
