Recommend me a good 1155 mobo with SLI

Either tri or quad SLI and compatible with Ivy Bridge? Not sure if any P67 or Z68 will work with it so I thought I'd ask. Two way SLI is ok if it's just an amazing deal.

The ASUS Maximus IV Extreme is considered the best LGA1155 motherboard. Gigabyte's UD7 is also a good choice, but some complain of the PCI-E layout and the MIVE beats it in nearly all areas that the benchmarks/reviews I've read of it had measured.

It's pricey but worth it if you're after no-compromise, top-of-the-line performance.

The asrock extreme 4/3 gen 3 motherboards are good, and from what I have heard they are ivy bridge compatible. Not sure about the quad/tri sli though, but at the price they are here they are a pretty good deal

EDIT: It depends what your budget is really

If you have any sort of budget in mind go with the ASRock z68 extreme4 gen3 for $189 on the egg... gets some of the best ratings out there, feature packed, and looks pretty awesome in my opinion... if you ask me I think ASRock has become a front runner in motherboards both budget and enthusiast. I will look to them before any others right now...

The best bang for the buck SLI 1155 motherboard is the ASUS P8P67 WS Revolution unless cost isn't a factor for you. The other boards recommended are also very good, but much more expensive.

I'm really liking the Asus Maximus especially since it will fit in perfect to my red and black Haf X.
The Maximus is definitely the best but the major down side is price. If you will not be using it's ROG features, you don't get much more for the money. however it does look cool

Keep in mind that SB only has support for 16 lanes of PCIe which means 2-way SLI at 8x each. For anything more you need a board with an extra chipset like NF200. That is what Maximus and WS Revolution use. If you buy a board without that, it will not run more than two cards or it will run a third at 4x. Some manufacturers claim they support quad SLI without an auxiliary chipset because you can get two GTX 590s that they are counting as 4 GPUs which kinda works I guess.

If you will not be running more than two physical cards, you don't need a high end board.
