Nvidia 570m 3GB benchmarks?

Thread Starter
Just like the title states, I was wondering how well the Nvidia 570m 3GB GPU performs compared to it's previous 1.5 GB version and other cards. I've been looking around, but haven't found anything other posts about it releasing. I believe the card is only on the MSI GT780DXR-446 currently. Thanks.

Honestly, the difference should be negligible. It doesn't have the power to use all 3gb, especially on a laptop because the screen is probably 1080p. 1,5gb is more than enough

Perhaps, but think about the 560m 3GB model for a second. According to reports, it was worse than the other 560m models for some reason. But vram can also help with editing and multiple screen. I was curious to see some reviews or benchmarks is all, aside from the opinionated facts you mentioned.

The 3GB model of a 570m would be better if it were to be put in SLI and then run at something equivalent to say... 2560x1440 or something similar...

However it's impractical to need or even want that amount of Vram in a laptop GPU. 1.5GB is plenty for any game out there. It doesn't have enough memory bandwidth to adequately utilize all that Vram anyway.

I think youre mistaken. Theres like 3 different 560m models. 1.5GB, 2 GB, 3GB.
1.5 And 3 have a 192bit bus
2 has a 128bit bus.

Ah, that was it. Thanks for the correction.

In my MSi GT780dxr-446us with 2860qm and upgraded ram I managed this score with my 570m 3.0gb at a steady 66 C with afterburner. 750/1500/1800. Hope this helps. I run on a cheap laptop cooler in a 64F room. I have no problems with Skyrim, Arkham City or Deus Ex HR with these settings on ultra. Witcher 2 is probably the most intense graphically but I just don't play it long enough to make a call on the temps or other problems. Oh I run the latest BETA drivers from nvidia and do not over volt.
