Socket LGA1366 and 775 heatsink bracket

Are there any difference in the spacing of the mounting holes for these 2 socket sizes? or is it basically the same. Could I use a LGA1366 heatsink on a LGA775 board?

They're two different sizes. The mounting holes are different.

ASRock makes what is called a C.C.O. for some of their motherboards.... It's a combo cooler option.... it has two different hole set in the mother board to support either 775 and im not sure if they do 1366 but i know they make them 775/1155... maybe look into that... but that would require a new mobo... not sure if you are looking to do that or not...

No, I'm really really poor ATM due to car problems. and I was looking for a cheap cooling solution to get my e6600 higher. Someone was selling a i7-970 extreme cpu cooler, the one with actual heatpipes. and it was only like 5 dollars bid and 9 dollars shipping, but it was 1366 socket.
