Is my PSU sufficient?

i have a 650w PSU:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153131

This is my video card (GTX 580 factory OC to 815, 3 gigs of vRAM)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814500201

i5 2500k
asus P8P57 Pro (rev 3.1)
8 gigs of Gskills RIpjaws DDR3-2133 PC3-17000
cheap asus DVR drive
cheap segate 1TB HD

I ask because i am having some artifacting and crashing in BF3 that is related to the video card. I just want to make sure i didn't mess up by buying a power supply that cant handle my system.

The link is your shopping cart account.

A single 580 3GB is drawing approx 250w at stock clocks, and a 650w PSU is sufficient for the whole setup for 24/7 gaming.

Yeah PSU link is broken.

As long as it's a quality PSU, 650w should be enough to power any single card setup. Heck even some SLI/Crossfire setups.

Considering it is a quality PSU then I would say 650w is more than enough!!

Regardin the BF3 issue, I would certainly look into the GPU driver or the actual game.

Does it happen when playing other games? have you tried using a different driver?

Dont bother with PSU calculators imo. As long as you have some knowledge in terms of Power consumption by reading up some posts, you will be able to gauge how much you need.

You will definitely be fine without a figure of doubt.

Look at my Silence rig in my sig, it runs a more power hungry 1366 CPU, and I used to have it run with a GTX 580 OCed to 930 Mhz.
