i7 860 to 875k

Thread Starter
hey guys. I'm looking to upgrade my lan rig from an i7 860 to an 875k. I never really deal with used, so I'm wondering what you guys think I should pay for an 875k. Also, how much should I ask for my 860. Thanks guys!
Um... why are you even bothering with that kind of upgrade? It retails for 320'ish, you would probably have to let your 860 go for somewhere between 150-200 and you would probably want to pay a little more then that for the 875k. No more then 250 or you should get an i5 sandy bridge instead.

the 875ks aren't binned as good as 860/870/880s

its just unlocked.

Don't bother, your buying into a black hole

For around the same price, you could get a 2500k/P67, and go much further.

I get 4.2ghz easily by just adjusting CPU voltage a bit, and setting the base clock @ 200mhz. You don't need the unlocked version of the i7-8xx series to overclock. They're all decent overclockers.
