New sound card time I think.

my xtremegamer is really sounding like it's showing it's age now.
I'm just looking for less white noise while not breaking the bank.
Xonar DX Downsides, some issues in games. needs floppy power..

Creative titanium upgrade of what I've got which has done well..

Auzentech Bravura Apparently good, has headphone amp. Dies quickly?

Xonar d1 the normal asus issues and gaming i presume apply?

HT Omega Striker only if i can get it for around 100$, windows 7 64 bit issues?

Xonar DS not a clue tbh..

DX and the D1 the same card the only issue about them is BFBC2

Titanium really good card , but it wount be much upgrade from the Gamer

Bravura really good card but yeah auzentech dies (although the dying thing was reported in most cases with the Forte)

Striker is not that big upgrade also , and it has very good drivers with Win7 , and its i wont recommend it cause its PCI

and dont get the DS , it`s somehow an upgraded DG with DX/D1 chip ,and swappable OP-AMPs nothing else

so IMO the Titanium is the best (or the Bravura if you can give it a shot) , but you will not feel that much improvement unless you got something like the Titanium HD or Xonar STX

Does bf3 work right?

They need to fix the sound in bf3. It cuts out even with highend cards for some.

BF3's sound works fine for me on both my cards. DICE has definitely leveled the playing field when it comes to Asus and Creative cards but the edge still is with the X-Fi because for some reason, Asus still finds it a good idea to leave out vehicle sounds, causing me to get run over. It was much worse in BC2.

bump, what difference would I get by going to a x-fi titanium?
The bravura would be a better card? even game wise?
