I want to make a pc for someone else, and i dislike the cooler of the XFX anyway. The 6970 twin frozr III is to expensive for me at the moment, so thats not an option. I could always (try to) flash the 6950 to a 6970, though it isnt a reference model.

If you mean compared to OCZ Vertex 3 SSD then no, but for sure your PC will be more stable with no random crashes to desktop or BSOD.

I actually ment the graphics cards xD, but i was considering the Corsair Force GT 120GB SSD aswell, so maybe that is a better choice. I will look at some reviews.

Thanks

For 3-way SLI, the reference cooler is the best. Those twin frozr coolers will dump heat in the case that will be picked up by the other cards and the temps won't be nice. Best case for 3-way and reference coolers is the RV02 or the FT03 by Silverstone because of the rotated motherboard tray. Air comes from the bottom straight into the GPUs and then outside the case. For the PSU, you can get a way better PSU than the Silent Pro Gold (which is way overpriced for what you get) like these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817256068

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341045

Both are very good. The OCZ might be the better choice since it has a 30$ MIR and a 10% rebate which brings it to 180$-30$ » 150$. At 195$, the Silverstone is also a good bang for the buck but I would opt for the OCZ one mainly because of the price.

Ah alright thats understandable, then just go for the cheaper 6950, dont flash them, they will do fine in tri-fire by themselves.

Snowmen is right, it can increase the heat on other cards, but with proper airflow that shouldnt be a problem.

veronex : corsair force gt have same memory controller as OCZ Vertex 3, there is nothing bad on Crucial M4 or Samsung 830.

I heard some games have stuttering issues running tri fire setups. Is this true, or is it allready been fixed in the newest drivers?

I got a NZXT phantom black case, with full fans in it, im not very worried about the temps i guess.

I found a good one. : Crucial m4 CT128M4SSD2 128GB

but in comparison to the vertex 3 the crucial has only 175MB write speed, and the ocz 500. Is it a big difference. I never sued ssd's before.

For stuff like trifire I think it might be worth also spending on SB-E and LGA2011 platform. You'll get enough CPU grunt and the necessary PCIe lanes. Of course that's quite expensive, but so is trifire.
