Hello,

Is the Shuttle SG41J4 good for a NAS server (or Mini PC Server) ? If anyone got experience with this unit i would like to hear your opinion.. should i consider a true NAS such Synology DS211J instead ?

Thanks!

Well not really this is for way many stuffs..
  • SVN Server
  • Shares and centralized data access
  • Transcoding videos/musics in many formats to the TV and others devices (Multimedia server)
  • Private FTP
  • MSSQL Express Dev Server
  • Backups
  • Probably RAID (Software mode)
  • PHP/MySQL
  • Personnal cloud

All of this are for personnal use mostly.. but i am interested in many something centralized in my house.

Thanks.
