SSD disappeared, help!

Thread Starter
Installed a small SSD to my system to use Intel SRT and speed up my slow hard drive. Everything was set up and working properly.

Reboot computer and now bios and windows doesn't show the SSD drive. Tried changing SATA ports and cables to no avail.

Whats going on? SSD died?

i think it is because you have it in sata 3, my friend had a problem like that. this is what he said about it. Try using the sata 2 ports

the manuals and books suck on setting up srt. i took me and a friend 3 installs to get it right. on my board you had to use the SATA 2 plugin's and they also had to be in order. hdd in port 1 and ssd in port 2. then in bios, you have to set it to raid. then install os on to the hdd. then you have to open up srt in your windows 7 and it will walk you though it. its more pain in the butt then you think, lol. but 4 me ..well worth it. i cant give you exact setup because i think it's different from board maker to board maker. but... one thing i do think is cool, is i can run a boot ssd and still run srt on my second drive. this will be my next setup.

Yea, but you may need to reset up the SRT.

by re-setup SRT you mean enable acceleration again in the intel software?
