Wireless 360 controllers w/ Windows 7? - Page 2

I bought a wireless controller and receiver from newegg for $55 and I love it. Genuine microsoft too. If mine quit I'd buy another receiver before I went with a wired controller.

I have a 360 controller/receiver on my PC, and they work just fine. Never had a problem with it in 2 years, and the receiver has never been unplugged, it's on 24/7.

I agree but mine quit a few weeks ago and didn't want to buy another expensive genuine Microsoft again.

So I bought the Chinese knock off and have been using it for about 2 weeks now with no problems. All for $10 shipped.

edit: my original receiver did last for about a year and a half. Bought mine on newegg as well

I figure at $55 the receiver is free and I'm paying for the controler. I find that the controlers wear out after 2-3 years. That being said I still have a controller from 11/22/05 and it works but the buttons and joysticks don't always release. Anyway I still say I'd but another complete package from newegg before I bought some random Chinese knock-off. Not that there's anything wrong with that if you want to save money. I would rather spend the extra $40-45 and get a new controller in 2-3 days than have to wait 2-3 weeks.

Oh my controller still works fine it was just the receiver that went bad. Couldn't find a receiver only so that's what lead to eBay

Well guess what, I was in the break room at work ( I work at Target ), and there was just a coupon book sitting on the table. I browsed through it and I found a coupon for $10 off a wireless 360 controller. Add that to my 15% off with employee discount and red card and my choice is pretty clear.

Thanks for the responses, now I need to find a cheap receiver.

If you have the play and charge cable can't you also connect a wireless controller with that?

I find that I have not preference for wired or wireless on a pc because I'm sitting close to it anyway. I only care about going wireless when I'd have wires stretching across the room.
